Captain & Shipwright

I returned purchased Centaur a 65' John Hanna designed motor sailer with the plan of living aboard and restoration for charter. I made yacht deliveries east coast territorial waters and undertook various marine projects in marinas by word of mouth.

1986 1989

Cruising

I sold the post production labs and turned the 42' ketch I had built south stopping for a year in Atlantic Highlands to complete the AVT project.

Departed Sandy Hook en-route to the Caribbean where I worked my way south following the weather forcasts and events on a leasure schedule . The voyages carried me south to the windwards and throughout the Caribbean. Years drifted by! Beautiful beaches soon gave way to more exploring. I met many interesting people, communities not in any guide

MARINE EXPERIENCE

As technical director it was my job to research and establish new locations, train staff and maintain them in a number of east coast locations with deep water. I lived aboard where ever the job took me, ranging from Boston to Philadelphia. Life aboard wintering at City Island in the worst winter of the decade saw my introduction to being entirely self sufficient with a vessel.
