Chenoa Repair 2006

CHswmPtn.gif - 24043 Bytes

I have been spending a lot more time on CHENOA this last week and almost have my part done so Dr. Terry can go cruising. Moving the windlass aft created a number of additional issues as the deck has quite a bit of curvature at this point and it took a lot of shaping to get it to fit. I will wire up the switch and finish the install. The swim platform is now mounted and is a wonder in the low position, it the upper position (shown) I am concerned for the strength of the hinges and the mounting of the support cables as there will be a lot of stress on them.

Chenoa Repair 2005

This is a very special Douglas 32. Someone originally spent an amazing amount of money in outfitting the vessel. Unfortunatly, a lack of time has claimed another boats beauty.

  • Fabricate cover for through hull space in head
  • Fabricate corner cover for wires that follow compression post
  • Repair & refinish the Boom Gallows
  • Replace port bow teak
  • Strip & Refinish all teak using Cetol light

The head is repaired and a custom fabricated enclosure for the through hull access in the head insalled. The port side cap rail and boom gallows refinishing has been completed. The boom gallows turned out better that I expected as I managed to pull it back together.

Take a look at the before and after series of picture here as they mtell the story.
