Welcome to the final page in my part of the Encore story. Encore has been launched, the re-coring and teak now finished. Depending on the owners wishes replacing the interior of the aft cabin will be another years task and budget.

There is not much to say about the job at this stage. Each of the thumbnails has a 600 pixel wide image attached if you click the thumbnail and shows what I believe to be important finishing details of the work. Please keep in mind the devil is in the detail which is why we will provide close ups. We did not get any Cetol on the stainless, although someone long ago had taken a "mop and bucket" to the teak it is not our way. The core material was totally water saturated and had to be cut out wholesale.

After cleaning out the area to the skin new exterior fir 1/2" ply is bedded in a mixture of cabosil and resin.

Finally, and very tricky 3 layers of matt are applied. The job much more difficult as one has to get perfect adhesion on vertical and upside down surfaces.
