This trawler came in as a sub contract from Waupoos Marina, who you are welcome to discuss our workmanship with. The boat had sat for several years with the original complaint that the aft cabin leaked. Unfortunately, the reality was much worse than the simple symptom.
Inspection revealed that the leak did in fact saturate the plywood core rendering much of it useless mush that caused the structure to completely delaminate, destroying the structural value of the coring and allowing more water to penetrate the skin. You can see in the early picture to the left the wholesale removal of useless core in preparation for the rebuilding process. |
