Downtown Toronto has several marinas located along the downtown waterfront. If you seek the ability to step ashore and walk to events at the Sky Dome, visit a Raptors game, or catch some big city theatre. Marina Quay West (4) is located at the foot of Spadina Avenue a short block and one half walk to the Sky Dome or the CN Tower.
Marina 4 #5 is located at Harbourfront directly south of the CN Tower and is part of an overall waterfront complex. This is the closest harbour to the downtown core. Entertaining facilities abound but quiet a few will be far from the hustling Harbourfront development surrounding you. To the east lies the DuMarier Theatre and the licensed lounge is dock side.
Toronto Harbour is a busy place with a myriad of tour boats bustling along the waterfront or shuttles en-route to their Toronto Island destinations. It is well to consider this traffic when departing any of the downtown marinas.
There are various other facilities along the shore which are mostly commercial locations for cruises and services. Unless you have personal knowledge and have made arrangements with the operators for a berth it is best to stay out of the various channels along the Harbour front.
To the western end of the Toronto Inner Harbour and the Western Gap is Marina Quay West. which is the big boat downtown harbour located at the foot of Spadina Quay. The facility is operated by F&N Yacht Services Limited, a division of Harbourfront Centre and offers deep draft berths with all anticipated facilities for boats up to 100 feet in length.
Construction is complete and there is now plenty of parking available.
I quote directly here from the Toronto Port Authorities rules.
( A ) The Toronto Port Authority ("PTA") is responsible for the administration of By-laws respecting navigation in the Port and
Harbour of Toronto for both commercial and pleasure vessels, including rules regulating the speed limits of vessels, licensing
of power-equipped craft and safety equipment required to operate a boat. The By-laws within the limits of the Port and Harbour
of Toronto are enforced by the Toronto Police Marine Unit.
( B )
All recreational and commercial boat operators who have engine-powered vessels, whether the engine is the main power or only auxiliary, must possess an operators license from the Port Authority to navigate in the waters of the
port and harbour of Toronto, which license can be renewed annually.
( C ) The limits of the Port and Harbour are defined as the section of the waterfront bounded by Humber River in the west, to Victoria Park Avenue in the east and stretching out into the lake along aline which runs south from the shore encompassing the islands and reaching a most southerly point of 1 mile from Gibraltar
Point.
