On Friday we finally got the Banker Dory home to a another satisfied customer. The more I see the orange the better I like it.

Rufus is slowly adapting which is good as soon will come the people and dogs which will make the walk a gauntlet for a pussy cat. For Les & Wendy:the warehouse is open and the Lass appears much as you left her with no obvious issues.
Tonight Rufus is helping me with the Blogs by batting the end of my pencil as I sit in the salon under the warm lamplight. Dancing with the Stars is on and Joey & Kim just laid down a fabulous fox trot. Rufus has begun to adapt and has begun to hang around the dock and boat more in the last several days. He likes the aft deck but like me complains about my removing the winter dodger.
I got a good start on Tom's Gib Sea today and we have the tabernacle and roof sealed and back together before the rain arrives Tuesday. I will take one more look but I believe I also have the fuel tank ready to re-install. The on to the nasty head removal.
Life on D Dock is isolated in comparison to the wall.

Monday saw high winds hit southern Ontario and although we were spared the worst it was pretty windy This dock has it's problems and I am concerned in the event of a strong westerly gale as even with all the lines out, as balanced as I could make them Defiance still stretched almost another foot deeper in the slip to where my exhaust threatened to cut the main power line like a cookie cutter. Worst of all my bowline is angled back not forward greatly reducing the holding power. At the height of the blow I added another bow line to another cleat as were the bow line to ever let go I am pretty certain that the result in a westerly gale would be quite ddisastrous.
