Thursday provided us a window to retrieve the "Pumpkin" from it's perilous perch along the shore of Aldophos Reach. The damage was significant with a long gap stretching for nearly half the length of the chine with gaping spaces in the plank. You never quite know what you are going to need in a salvage operation to seal things up. This time 12" wide duct tape was jsut the right solution.

For now the dory is drying as everything is waterlogged and there will need to be a lot of epoxy in its future.
Chris and Diane came down and with a bit of house hunting it was a wonderful road trip day with lots accomplished.

Rufus says that he does not care where we live so long as he has his long grass and a fresh pond. He is quite content to be a urban cat staking his territory in the abandoned part of the apartment back yard.

The objective was to cut Chenoa's forward engine cover support out to allow them to move the engine and fit the new prop. The long and the short is that we eventually declined the project as a bad idea. To fabricate a new structure that would be removable, yet as strong as the original daunting and thousands of dollars to do correctly. Then it would have been tricky.
On the other hand I was glad to some time with friends and the boatyard cats.
