A report from Boswell Street / Thrashers.
It is a sad feline day in Belleville.
My feral cat feeder was hardly touched last night.
There has been another "known resident" purge of the Thrasher Colony with a minimum of three Fixedfurlife felines left in Quinte Humane Society jail as of yesterday.
I had a chance to conduct a cat censis tonight of the remains of the Thrasher collony.
orange now found safe
Gone and in custody are
Grey & White
Little Grey Cat
Male tabby
Light Calico

Gone and on death row are: the Black and white male, friendly male tabby, Little Grey Cat, who I know and was almost ready to be touched.

Little Grey Cat (right) is in jail probably due for execution tomorrow, but there is nothing I can do to help him as rescue would be $100 and he is still untouchable.
There are three more feral from the Thrasher colony. Quinte Humane Society makes no bones in the fact that all the cats from Thrashers are to be trapped by Pierce Animal Control as a public nuisance. So much for being a working Mill Cat. This is the death knell for the colony and high risk time for Boswell feral.
I bailed out Grey Boy (left) who Fixedfurlife assisted with the fix, and will try such as you can with a feral tom, to keep him out of harms way. He is doing far better inside but it is only a matter of time before he slips out.
I did get a visit from Ginger(below right) who was the alpha male of Thrasher's until the spring when he moved from the colony.
There is only one calico female left completely terrified at the Thrasher cave but she is too freaked a out to be relocated and deep in frightened cat mode.
In Memory of those lost in the urban cat eradication
There is also one surviving black and white feline.
Please visit Quinte Humane Society and adopt one of the fixed feral. The tabby is not doing well in a cage and is quite friendly and gentle.
