Naughty Lass was a major rebuild project that in the end saw 80' of planking replaced, 60 new sisters for deteriorated frames, and a complete reconstruction of almost everything above the deck level. This 30 odd year wooden veteran barley shed a tear upon launch then promptly came to life with barley a huff to move off within minutes of launch on a sea trial. click on thumbnail for a 600 pixel wide image Specifications:

This is NOT a quick fix special, she is a carefully though out rebuild by cruising a professional. If you want to travel extensively or live aboard she offers the maximum living space possible for her size. This vessel stands ready to take you away to Adventure. Interior description and imagesThis is a truly capable boat for the great lakes, or south to the islands. She is a proven vessel with excellent sea keeping qualities, 440 miles range and attention to what counts. Completely rebuilt in 1999 by knowledgeable owners for Great Lakes coastal exploration she is as small as you can live aboard comfortably, without incurring the costs of a larger vessel. SEAKEEPING During 2000 in open lake Ontario with 3 foot seas we confirmed a 440 mi range at 2.8 gph providing a "speed over bottom" of 7.2 knots. In 2001 on the Trent Severn at 6.9 knots the gallon per hour average grew to just over 2 GPH. We have encountered moderate gale (45 knots) weather on Lake Ontario with 9 foot seas (2001) , which far from the worst nature can bring is quite adequate to test her. I feel no qualm in reporting that she behaves extremely well with predictable handling and a comfortable movement. Naughty Lass needs no marinas, due to fore thought - a correct and adequate anchoring system and self sufficiency. With the exception of an occasional pump out, and to take on water with two persons on board we have no trouble running for 14 days between fresh water refills and re supply. She is not yacht perfect, but a very solid and functional working craft, which will require ongoing dedication to maintenance at an acceptable level @ in the future.
